2 weeks agoScammers and fraudsters do not always arrive at the specified address for their own convenience and cancel the ride, charging for it. When trying to clarify this with the depositor, you can expect shouting or the call being disconnected. Yesterday I had a situation where my friend booked a taxi Go Car, a passenger car, for 6 pounds each way. I had to pick up four children from school. The taxi driver arrived in a large car, so I wanted to take advantage of the opportunity and asked if he would take us back. He agreed and said it would cost 11-12 pounds. Everything would have been fine if I hadn't been told to pay 17 pounds upon returning because he didn't know there would be so many people. Firstly, he didn't ask how many people would be returning, and secondly, a larger taxi costs 9 pounds each way. To calculate the cost, more people would take, I should have paid 14 pounds because a round-trip taxi ride with one driver is cheaper by a pound. The taxi driver charged me for a large car both ways, even though I'd booked a small car for the first trip. The payment was supposed to be in cash, but the driver only got 16 pounds because we didn't have more. The taxi driver argued with us, the dispatcher yelled at us on the phone, and the taxi driver left, offended that he didn't get an extra pound, even though he wasn't entitled to any. Cars has its own rules, and in my opinion, I can call this company lawless.

a month agoI have had some good experiences with Go Cars. It tonight was a different matter. Booked a pick up Luton airport, purposefully waited to book until we were standing in the pick up zone. The car wasn’t there, we looked and looked, registration number, make and model, anything with a go cars sticker, nothing. But apparently the car was there and drove up and down 6 or 7 times - something you think two adults with good eyesight would have spotted. There is no benefit to me to make this up but instead of helping I’ve been charged the £7 express zone fee and then had to get a taxi home which cost me almost double what go cars had quoted - maybe they just didn’t want the job.

a month agoI had a very poor experience with this taxi company. The first driver went to the wrong address, and when I called him, he said he would arrive in one minute but instead drove further away. The operator I spoke to was unhelpful and unprofessional. I eventually had to walk to meet the driver, but he turned his car around and left. A replacement car was sent, but it only arrived at 9:55 despite my booking being for 9:30. I was left waiting outside with my son, who was late for his training session as a result. The first driver spoke English very poorly and was unable to understand my instructions over the phone. This experience showed a complete lack of communication and professionalism. I will not be using this company again.

2 months agoMy family and I use this firm regularly. Always a good service getting to our destinations ,but trying to get home after an evening out in Hitchin cannot get a car to pick us up. This is not the first time we have been stranded. Always being told they have cars regularly available and no need to book.
